Internal Server Error

This error is encountered whenever the FCG timeout parameter ‘FcgidIOTimeout’ is exhausted for an Apache process. This parameter defines the maximum period of time the module will wait while trying to read from or write to a FastCGI application. Its value was set to 40 seconds on FCGI conf. I have now increased it to 400 seconds now.

Steps followed:-

1. Login to WHM > Apache Configuration > Include Editor > Post VirtualHost Include > All

2. Copy and paste following code:

<IfModule mod_fcgid.c>
FcgidProcessLifeTime 8200
FcgidIOTimeout 8200
FcgidConnectTimeout 400
FcgidMaxRequestLen 1000000000

3. Restarted Apache. Your FastCGI time-out will be changed to 400 seconds.

How to reset SSH port from WHM

In some situations most of us may come across a problem that we are able to log into the WHM but unable to log into the server with the default port 22 or we don’t know the server’s port. Then, you can follow the step below to reset the server port from WHM:

1. Log into WHM
2. Then, browse the following URL to reset your SSh configuration settings:

replace “serverip” with your server’s IP address.

After executing the script, default port 22 will set on your server. Now, you can log into your server through the port 22 and reset the configuration.

If port 22 is already in use for any other service then, another port will be opened for SSH and it will be displayed in the screen where you are executing the script.
